Holiday Gift Guide: For the Giver

1. Chicken in Love record - Amazon.com // $8.99. Be kind this holiday season and support another city with this album. With artists like Fiona Apple, Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros and She & Him, some pretty stellar tunes exist.
CHARITY: 826LA (dedicated to supporting students ages 6 to 18 with their creative and expository writing skills and to helping teachers inspire their students to write)

2. Feed 2 Bag - Feedprojects.com // $130. I've always loved these bags. Not only are they for a charitable cause, but they are also a useful size and shape. What an easy way to get the word out as a walking advertisement.
CHARITY: FEED Foundation (dedicated to supporting programs and organizations that are effectively working to fight hunger and eliminate malnutrition throughout the world)

3. Case of Water - Peoplewater.com // $22.99. Ok, so I know water sounds like a pretty boring holiday gift BUT this is not your ordinary water. With each eco-friendly bottle you are saving a life - I'd say that's a pretty reasonable present.
CHARITY: People Water (for every bottle purchased People Water will give an equal amount of clean water to a person in need)

4. St. Jude Mercury Owls - West Elm (Atlantic Station) // $9.00-$13.00 (ON SALE NOW). How great are these little guys?? What a great gift for the home all while contributing to St. Jude's. Made out of mercury glass, these owls are perfect for a little extra decor.
CHARITY: St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital (supports the treatment of some of the world's sickest children with pioneering research)

5. Together We're Stronger Sweatshirt - Sevenly.com // $40. Sevenly.com is an AWESOME website that serves as a platform for charitable organizations. Each week they feature a different charity hoping to spread the awareness for the increasingly high number of worldwide organizations. Make sure to check back with them each week.
THIS WEEK'S CHARITY: Knot's of Love (each purchase donates a warm beanie to a child undergoing treatment for cancer. Their purpose: to warm the hearts and heads of those experiencing traumatic hair loss while battling cancer and other life threatening illnesses)

6. Adopt an animal - Atlanta Humane Society (Howell Mill Rd. & Mansell Rd.) // prices vary. I can't think of a better holiday gift than a new best fur friend. Such a great way to also give back to your community by supporting the Humane Society of Atlanta. Check out their website for the current cats & dogs up for adoption - (I can't promise you won't get suckered in).
CHARITY: Atlanta Humane Society (to prevent neglect, abuse, cruelty and exploitation of animals and to assure that their interests and well-being are fully, effectively and humanely protected by an aware and caring society)
